After a lovely weekend away, I thought I’d share what was in my most recent bisque firing which I emptied on Thursday.

I think I have said before how much I enjoy I loading a bisque. Firstly, I can be a lot less delicate with the unloading than I am with the loading, which makes the whole process quicker (please note my little trick in the middle where I throw & catch one of the tall jugs!). It makes the general movement of pots around the studio a lot easier!

I also absolutely love the way bisque-ware looks - it is super crisp! There were some really exciting pieces in this load, which I glazed last Friday and have had firing over the weekend.

I am taking the next couple of days off from the studio, but I will be back open from Thursday, unloading the kiln and getting ready for a lovely weekend of samples & seconds sales!

Seconds and samples sale #2 !!!

This is my second EVER sale, and I am very excited to be hosting it in 2 weeks time! These seem to be becoming an annual event, where pots from the past year that haven’t quite been right, have a small crack, blemish, or pieces with nothing wrong with them at all, but are just not part of my current range, are sold at hugely discounted prices! There will be a large selection of mugs, cups, bowls, jugs, vases etc available.

I will have an open evening on Friday 27th June from 17:00 - 19:30 which is where you will have first pick of this years pieces. I will then be open as usual Saturday 28th & Sunday 29th from 10:00 - 16:00 for any remaining sale pots.
